Get Your PADI Open Water Certification in Koh Tao

Ready to become a certified scuba diver? The PADI Open Water Diver course in Koh Tao is the perfect place to start.

At Blue Together, we take things step by step. You'll first learn and practise the essential scuba skills in confined water, before heading out to Koh Tao's beautiful dive sites for your open-water training dives.

Our PADI Open Water course costs THB 11,500 and includes your scuba equipment, boat transportation, dive site fees and professional instruction.

How Does the PADI Open Water Course Work?

1. Five Confined Water Dives

Your first practical training takes place in confined water. This can be in a swimming pool or in the shallow, calm waters of a bay.

Here, you'll learn and practise essential skills such as:

• Setting up and using your scuba equipment

• Breathing underwater

• Buoyancy control

• Mask and regulator skills

• Underwater communication

• Basic emergency and safety procedures

The 5 confined-water sessions give you time to become comfortable underwater before moving on to deeper open water.

2. Four Open Water Dives

Once you're comfortable with the basic skills, you'll complete 4 open-water training dives in the sea around Koh Tao.

• Dives 1 & 2: Maximum depth of 12 metres

• Dives 3 & 4: Maximum depth of 18 metres

During these dives, you'll practise your skills in real diving conditions while exploring Koh Tao's reefs and marine life with your instructor.

After successfully completing the course, you'll receive your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
